SUMMARY:Volunteer Cleanup at Tolowa Dunes State Park
DESCRIPTION:Join us and Redwood National and State Parks with this community cleanup event at Dead Lake and Tolowa Dunes State Park. Volunteers will meet at Dead Lake Boat Ramp (end of Riverside St\, Crescent City\, CA 95531) and will breakout into smaller groups cleaning up different areas of Tolowa Dunes State Park. \nYour safety is very important to us during every event that we host. For this reason\, we ask that you please: \n\nBring closed toe shoes during the event\, this helps protect your feet from heavy or sharp objects.\nBring a water bottle and sunscreen. This will help us in reducing single-use plastics.\nBring your own preferred gloves. We will have gloves available as well.\nStay home if you are feeling sick. Please follow County and State guidelines regarding COVID-19.\n\nThe Smith River Alliance is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Del Norte County. Cleanup events like this are supported by the California Coastal Commission’s Whale Tail Grants Program\, as well as donations by organizations and individuals.
