Elk Creek Interpretive Trail

A ¾ mile interpretive trail was installed in the lower Elk Creek watershed in about 1987. The trail loops out and back and at one time linked to the ocean, beach and Crescent City Harbor. The original purpose of the trail was to support educational programs and increase public awareness and understanding of sensitive habitats and the need for protection of the lower Elk Creek Area.

The trail is currently in disrepair and many sections of the trail is inaccessible by overgrown brush. Stay tuned to efforts to restore this gem!
