Sand Camp Reflections, Rick Tolley

Plein Air Art Show (event complete)

Join Us to Celebrate the Beauty of the Smith River Through the Paintings of Rick Tolley and Fellow Artists!

Originally posted November 29, 2018

An opening reception will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 (event is complete) from 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Gallery of Arts & Culture at 175 H Street in Crescent City.

The exhibition includes paintings by Rick Tolley, John Crater, Andrew Daniel, Paul Rickard, and Jeff Stanley. Rick Tolley and fellow artists dedicate their work to the “search for beauty,” and gratitude to the Smith River Alliance (SRA) for their efforts to protect and restore the Smith River watershed.

The painters were hosted by SRA at Rock Creek Ranch this fall, on the South Fork of the Smith River; the group painted inspiring scenery flush with autumn colors from sunrise until dusk. The painting collection tells the story of their adventure.
