Today we celebrate the purchase of an additional 4 parcels to the Lake Earl Wildlife Area.
This was a two-year effort to purchase nuisance properties that were covered with broken vehicles, trailers and an estimated twenty tons of trash. Smith River Alliance worked to clear and clean the properties so that the Department of Fish and Wildlife would accept the land an safeguard it forever to benefit fish, wildlife and habitat.
