Lilies” of the Smith River region.
The northernmost reaches of the California Floristic Province (northwest California and southwest Oregon) are a renowned hotspot of lily biodiversity. This goes for true lilies (family Liliaceae), as well as members of related families within the broader Lily order (Liliales). Here are just a few of the many beautiful species that inhabit the greater Smith River region.
